Mechanicsburg is the place to be this Thursday, when the 96th annual Jubilee Day — billed as the largest one-day street fair on the East Coast — takes over downtown with 300+ vendors, then keeps the momentum going all weekend with Ole Train Days at Williams Grove and sprint cars under the lights. From there the West Shore doesn't let up: a free West Shore Symphony "Summer Pops" tour swings through Boiling Springs, Lemoyne and Camp Hill, and the libraries pile on a week's worth of bubble shows, dino hunts and K-pop dance parties from New Cumberland to Camp Hill. Throw in a Father's Day pancake breakfast and a couple of car shows, and you've got a full seven days — so pace yourself so you have energy on Tuesday and Wednesday for concerts and food trucks!

A Couple of New Things

I'm adding two new sections to the lineup:

Live Music This Week — you'll find it right after the Wednesday section. We have a ton of local bands, and what's listed is nowhere near all of them yet. I'll keep building this out to better represent the incredible talent in our area.

Business & Networking — I've lived in a lot of places, and what stands out about the West Shore is how involved our local business owners are with the community. So my way of giving back: Whenever there are events supporting our local entrepreneurs, you'll find them gathered here.

Update on last week's poll: So far, the majority of you are asking for a Local Job Openings section — and I'm all for it! It'll take some coordination with our local businesses to do it right, but I'm going to start pursuing it. More to come. (P.S. If you’re a local business looking to hire - just hit reply to this email and let’s chat!)
