This is a theater-heavy, front-loaded week — with a Friday that's also bursting with free live music. Sweeney Todd plays four nights at Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg, Thursday through Sunday, and the West Shore Theatre hosts the New Cumberland School of Ballet Saturday and Sunday, then the Harrisburg Jazz Collective's 16-piece big band Tuesday evening. Friday layers on: free live rock on Railroad Avenue in downtown Mechanicsburg, Katz 22 on the banks of the Susquehanna in Wormleysburg, Dueling Pianos at the brewery, comedy at Revolutionary Hot Sauce, and sprint cars at Williams Grove — all in one evening. Saturday brings Foundry Day's 100+ juried artisans to Boiling Springs, a float down the Yellow Breeches, and a free movie screening of Zootopia 2 at sunset. The second half of the week settles into community mode: food trucks, a summer kickoff, Speranza bike night, and trivia, most of it free.
